Faith, Health and Wholeness

Whether you're beginning your wellness journey or seeking to deepen healthy habits, you'll find a faith community committed to nurturing your body, mind, and spirit.

Health and Wellness Ministry

Our Health and Wellness Ministry connects faith and health by supporting our congregation in living healthy, balanced lives as an expression of Christian faith. Through education, accessibility, partnerships, programming, and communication, the ministry promotes holistic wellness that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit.

The Health and Wellness Ministry sponsors a variety of programs and events designed to promote wellness throughout the congregation and community. These include:
  • Blood Drives
  • Vaccine Clinics
  • Health Education Programs
  • Wellness Workshops

Our Parish Nurse

Karen Willis, RN, NBC-HWC

As your Parish Nurse, my ministry is about walking alongside you through every stage of life's journey. Whether you're celebrating good health, facing a new diagnosis, caring for a loved one, or simply unsure where to turn, I'm here to listen, offer support, and help you find the resources you need.

I visit members who are hospitalized or homebound, spend time with our older adults as they navigate the joys and challenges of aging, and provide comfort, prayer, and a compassionate presence during times of illness, transition, and at the end of life. I can also help connect you with community resources, provider referrals, in-home care options, transportation, advance care planning, mental health resources, and other services.

In addition to individual care, I partner with many of our ministries to promote the health and well-being of our congregation through educational programs and wellness initiatives. I also enjoy supporting our Prime Timers, collaborating with our Pet Ministry, and working with the many dedicated volunteers who make these ministries thrive.

If you have a health concern, need guidance, would appreciate a visit or prayer, or simply aren't sure where to start, I would be honored to connect with you. Know that you don't have to face life's challenges alone. I am here to walk alongside you in your faith and health journey.

"Covenant Serves" Cookbook

A unique, community-driven cookbook sponsored by Covenant Presbyterian’s Health and Wellness Ministry that showcases beloved recipes from church members, promotes a healthy lifestyle, provides spiritual nourishment through scripture and pastoral reflections, and supports our mission and outreach food partners.

This cookbook would also be a response to our growing desire for intentional living, where what we eat, how we care for our bodies, and how we feed our souls are all intertwined. We hope that it will bridge the gap between physical wellness and spiritual wholeness. It’s not just about what’s on the plate; it’s about the stories, the prayers, and the fellowship behind each recipe.  Click here to learn more on our FAQ page.

Project Timeline:

  • Content collection in progress through 2026
  • Pre-sales to begin early 2027
  • Intention to be released in late 2027
