Serve – In the church

We all have gifts to share in our life of faith together

It's important for each of us to play a part at Covenant, and we want everyone to find a fit.

Serve in the church

Teachers and Shepherds
Help shape the faith of children and youth by offering leadership on Sunday mornings or evenings. We are currently seeking volunteers to teach Early Childhood Sunday School (ages 2-K), lead Elementary Small Groups and "Power Up" (the Bible story on steroids!) at 9:30 a.m., September - May. Teachers and leaders serve in pairs and rotate monthly. Electronic lesson plans, supplies and support are provided. For more information and to express interest, please contact Mary Sutton.

Ushers
Ushers - A welcoming smile and greeting starts Sunday off right for everyone coming to worship. Usher teams distribute bulletins and assist in seating the congregation and collect of the offering at services each week.

Home Communion
Each quarter, elders offer home communion to allow home-bound members an opportunity to celebrate the sacrament we enjoy in worship. This extension of the feast is a reminder of God's love and grace and keeps people connected to our community of faith.

Audio/Visual Operator
Assist in worship by helping video stream and record the Sunday morning services. Many people participate in our services each week through live-streaming or a recording that is taken to Sharon Towers for residents. Your gifts can help make it possible for them to join us in worship. Contact Rosie Strawn for more information.

Worship Team Teardown Volunteer
Sunday mornings after 9:30 a.m. worship (approx. 10:30 a.m.), help us teardown the equipment that the Worship Team uses to prepare for the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Contact Ricko Hill for more information.

Recreation Ministry Volunteer
Welcome visitors and members to our Recreation Wing. Volunteers may serve an hour or two at a time convenient to them. Contact Kevin Harper for more information.

Van Driver
Be part of a team that offers a ride to worship to people unable to drive or drives the church van for trips (youth, TLC) or to pick up and drop off neighbors who stay with us through Room in the Inn during the winter months.

Covenant Crew
Covenant Crew is available to make small home repairs for home-bound and disabled members.  Typical jobs that the Crew tackles include difficult to reach light bulbs, replacing smoke detector batteries or flipping mattresses. Please contact Karen Willis if you have a project for us.
