Serenitye has a passion for being in loving community with others. Her interest includes pastoral care and chaplaincy. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in English and is a graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. She has served as a volunteer for Hospice in Rock Hill, SC, as well as a Chaplain intern at Atrium Hospital. Serenitye believes that it is a privilege to serve alongside others and with those in need.

“From the moment I walked onto this campus in 2020, I knew that there was something special about this place. I have enjoyed the challenge and beauty of settling into ministry and am so grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow at Covenant. People often tell me, 'You've grown so much,' and I know that’s only because of the work God is doing in me and through our church. I enjoy what I do and look forward to the new challenge of sustaining and establishing relationships in our community.  May God bless our journey together.”

Serenitye is married to Carlin Taylor. The Taylors live in Pineville, North Carolina, with their seven-year-old daughter, Eliana Taylor, who has affectionately come to love Covenant. They are surrounded by the love and care of family in Charlotte. Carlin and Eliana express their gratitude for this community of faith and look forward to more memories at Covenant.
