Douglas E. Matthias Scholarship Program

For many years, Covenant has awarded scholarships to deserving college students for undergraduate and graduate studies through the Douglas E. Matthias Scholarship Program.

The undergraduate fund provides need-based support for graduating high school seniors and current college freshmen. Scholarships are also available for study at Union Presbyterian Seminary and any graduate study that leads to a life of Christian service. Applications are due May 16.

College Council and Secret Saints Program

Covenant's College Council

Covenant Presbyterian has more than 100 college students enrolled in colleges and universities around the country. The College Council acts as a liaison to our college students who may be away at school or here in Charlotte. College Council is responsible for communication to students about events at Covenant. Along with offering invitations to student gatherings during the summer and over Christmas, the Council also ministers to students individually.

Covenant's College Connection

Keeping College Students Connected to Covenant

The early years of young adulthood are a vital stage of development in everyone’s life. Following High School, Covenant members often attend college, enter into the workforce or take time to travel and try new experiences. Covenant Presbyterian believes that in whatever a young adult chooses to do with these years, that they maintain a connection to the Church. Covenant College Connection is dedicated to supporting these young adults in every way that we can, keeping them connected to their high school friends and Covenant Family, connecting them with caring congregations away from home and reminding them that they are valued and loved.
