Film + Panel: Examining the impact of toxic stress

Monday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall

Please join us for a free screening of the award-winning film Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope.

Extremely stressful experiences in childhood can alter brain development and have lifelong effects on health and behavior.

But there is reason for hope.

The 60-minute documentary chronicles the work of pediatricians, therapists, educators and communities using cutting-edge brain science to disrupt cycles of violence, addiction and disease.

Following the film, hear from a panel of faith leaders, community advocates, educators, therapists and attorneys. This event is presented by the church's Health & Wellness Committee and the Council for Children's Rights.
