Please join us for our 2018 Women's Retreat as guest speaker Anna Dickson will explore “Seeking Wholeness in a Broken World.”
Friday to Sunday, February 2-4, 2018 in Pinehurst, NC
One of Anna’s favorite “punchline” verses in the Bible is “We love because God first loves us,” but loving others in this way - in this grace-filled way - is difficult.
Henri Nouwen says that “Forgiveness is the name of love practiced among those who love poorly...and sometimes we all love poorly.” It seems then, that if we are to love the way God calls us to love, we also need to learn how to give and receive forgiveness.
Hear stories from scripture and life about people who have experienced the kind of love called “forgiveness.” Dig a little deeper into what it means to say “In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven,” and consider how this might help you live into deeper, more authentic relationships with God, self, and others.
We will reflect, talk, pray, and rest together, and leave with some practical ways to apply what we’ve learned in our everyday lives.
