Jan. 16- Overview of Recreation Wing Programs and Goals - Kevin Harper- Come meet our Recreation Wing Director, hear his philosophy of fitness and learn about his background. He will describe the wide and rich resources we have in our gym and show you some fun fitness moves along the way.
Jan. 23- Nutrition and Health -Alice Watson- One of our personal trainers will share new ways to approach good nutrition. Find out how to approach healthy eating with gusto! Recreation Wing Room 3A
Jan. 30 – Total Body Fitness- Karen Davidson- Come learn about interval training and Total Body Fitness. Karen will teach us moves to strengthen every area of the body using a mixture of muscle toning and cardio work.
Feb. 6 - Health and Humor - Getting Serious about Humor - John Ramsey- Covenant member and Elder Emeritus shares the part of his life that led him to love humor and the desire to make others happy. Before this became part of his calling, he will talk about the event that he struggled with for years. Ultimately, how did mind-body-spirit come into his life to make a change? Recreation Wing 3A
Feb. 13 - QiGong - Karen Rubin- Qigong uses gentle movement and mental imagery aligned with the breath. This practice is designed to release tension, cultivate healing energy and circulate it through the body.
Feb. 20 – Personal Training- Sgt. Roy Lewis- Sgt. Roy Lewis will share his simple philosophy- “Do the work and the body will follow.” Come learn about being all that you can be.
Feb. 27 - Functional Fitness over 50 - Suzi Rosen- Improve strength, balance, flexibility and quality of life under the guidance of a Licensed Physical Therapist. All ages welcome.
