Covenant women and friends are hitting the road in August for Women's Connection 2017, a weekend in the beautiful setting of Montreat.

This year’s gathering, featuring author and blogger Rachel Held Evans, will encourage participants to find grace through reflection, rest and community. Weekend activities will include worship, hiking and a trip into Asheville or nearby Black Mountain.

Our Covenant group will stay in the newly renovated Assembly Inn, located in the heart of Montreat overlooking Lake Susan. We are reserving a block of double occupancy rooms with private baths (two nights) and meals for the weeekend, A welcome dinner is 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The conference concludes Sunday following 9 a.m. worship.

The price of $185 per person includes lodging, meals, a copy of Rachel's new book and tickets to the plenary session with Rachel, along with participation in worship services led by our own Worship Team leaders, Mollie James (left) and Elizabeth Bridges.

We are also planning special activities for our group Friday and Saturday evenings and during the day Saturday.
