A look at January Sunday School and Bible Studies

Sunday School and Small Group Bible Studies

It’s a great time to try a new group!

Featured studies:

Uptown Bible Study - Tuesdays or Thursdays 12-1pm at the Foundation for the Carolinas led by Jessica Patchett, Ben Mallicote, and Ian Clark. Beginning January 8, join us for a four-week series on New Year’s Resolution Helps from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We’ll explore biblical insights that address health, money, worrying, and prayer.

SouthPark Bible Study - Thursdays 12-1pm at Union Presbyterian Seminary led by Jerry Jernigan and Robin Goodson. Join us for a eight-week series on The Parables for Today. We’ll explore some of Jesus’ short stories and their power to shape our lives of faith.

January Book Club - January 24 at 7:00 pm at the home of church member Debbie Enna, nearby to Covenant. Reading Children of the Stone: The Power of Music in a Hard Land by Sandy Tolan. Join Debbie, Jacqueline McAbee, and Loretta Brown to discuss a good read for any who pray for peace in the Holy Land. In this unlikely story, Ramzi Hussein Aburedwan, a child from a Palestinian refugee camp, confronts an occupying army, gets an education, masters an instrument, dreams of something much bigger than himself: a school to transform the lives of thousands of children--as Ramzi's life was transformed--through music.
