Henry Owen has agreed to serve as Interim Community Outreach Coordinator while a search committee looks for a permanent replacement. Henry previously served at Covenant as the interim director of youth ministry. Henry is a native Texan, the grandson of a Presbyterian minister, and a life-long Presbyterian. A graduate of Austin College, he has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and master's degree in education. He has taught in the Austin, Texas public school system, and has been a program facilitator and counselor in outdoor education through Presbyterian camps and conference centers in Colorado and Texas.
Henry moved to Charlotte last fall with his wife, Emily, who is Associate Pastor of Matthews Presbyterian Church.
