Preschool Consignment Sale
Covenant's Preschool hosts its second-annual consignment sale on March 24, offering children's clothing, toys and other accessories for sale. Consignors keep 70% of sales and also have an opportunity to shop at a pre-sale on Friday, March 23.

People in Mission Accepting Applications
Think a summer won’t change your life? Just ask Rosie Strawn, Rob McAlister, Abbie Henderson or Si Ward.
For more than 12 years, Covenant has engaged its college students in mission opportunities, both with mission trips with the congregation and with our People in Mission Scholarship program. Students have traveled to Thailand, Egypt and Mexico, where they have been immersed in areas of poverty while listening and learning about how God calls them to serve.
Last year Rosie, Rob and Abbie worked in local outreach, working 35 hours a week in non-profits in our city such as Urban Ministry, A Child’s Place and Freedom Schools. Si traveled to Katmandu, Nepal, to work in a medical clinic through A Broader View, a non-profit organization.
The local students met weekly with church staff to talk about their work and to see how their faith played a part.
“When I think of returning home, I think of lazy mornings, home-made meals, and nostalgic conversations about times that once were,” Rob McAlister said. “And yet within the very heart of a city I call home are countless opportunities to discover great need of fellow human beings and to re-discover one’s self. Relationships through faith are waiting to grow between us, both with one another and with God.”
Rosie Strawn added, “Learning more about myself and why I feel so called to serve God’s world, while looking at the Bible and other texts to see how we are supposed to serve was a really powerful combination for me,” she said.
We will offer one global opportunity to be determined by the student and three local internships. The dates for the local internship will be May 22 through the end of July. The stipend is up to $3,000.
