The Young Adult Ministry of Covenant
Presbyterian Church seeks to provide opportunities for fellowship,
service, and outreach to men and women in their twenties and
thirties. This group includes singles, married couples, and
families.

The Real Young Adults
(20ish)
Whether you are new to Charlotte or were
baptized at Covenant, if you’re in your 20s, this is your place
to land. Activities include Sunday night suppers, study times,
local and international mission trips/projects, and Sunday

The Original Young
Adults (over 29)
A variety of folks in different stages of
their careers, relationships and spiritual growth gather
together for learning, serving and leading. Activities include
regular home gatherings, Bible studies, a Sunday school class,
congregational mission trips and local service projects. To

The Commitments
(Younger Parents, 35-45)
Gathers quarterly for dinner parties;
travels together to the Congregational Retreat; supports
children’s ministries and serves broadly in leadership. Hosts a

Presbyterian Women
Devotion, study and spiritual growth small
groups. Several circles are targeted toward younger women:
Miriam Circle: Women in their
20's single or married members or non-members
This circle meets twice a month. On the
first Thursday of the month (September-May), they meet at
the church at 6 pm for dinner (Cost $6) with 4 other
circles. The meeting follows. Right now, they are finishing
their conversations based on the book Calm My
Anxious Heart. Later in the month, they meet at a
restaurant or someone’s home for fun and fellowship.

Hineni Circle: Women in their
30's- early 40's single, married, with or without children,
members or non-members.. This circle meets on the first
Thursday of month (September-May) at the church for dinner
(Cost $6) at 6pm with 4 other circles. The meeting follows.
The study book for 2008-09 is Creating a Life with God.
In the summer, meetings are held in people's homes. For

Mary
Circle: Primarily for mothers of young children,
members and non-members, meets on the second Monday
morning at 10:00 (September - May) in the church parlor.
Debbie Hodde moderates the discussion of Having a
Mary Heart in a Martha World; child care at the
church by reservation.

Circle:
Primarily for mothers of young children, members and
non-members, meets on the first Thursday for dinner in
Fellowship Hall; meal cost $6; no child care.

Faith: Women of the New Testament.
Men’s Bible
Study/Men’s Breakfast
Men’s Bible Study meets for an hour every
Tuesday from September to July at 7:00 a.m. Join us in the
Fellowship Hall, room 105. We just finished reading through
Romans and 1 Corinthians. This fall we begin an extensive study
of the Psalms. The group includes men in their 20s and
men in their 80s. All ages and levels of Biblical knowledge are

Men’s Breakfast is a forum presentation
with a speaker and a meal every fourth Tuesday of the month. To

Uptown Bible Study
The Uptown Bible Study meets for an hour every Thursday from
September to June at 12:00. Join us at the Uptown YMCA (301
S. College Street One Wachovia Center). This group is composed
of men and women, and is open to the community. This group
resumes August 28 with an extensive study of Psalms. If you are
new, approach the desk at the Y, and they can direct you to the
meeting room from the turnstiles. To join an

Teams
If you are interested in helping plan fellowship,
faith and service activities for the young adults of Covenant,
please consider serving on the committee! The team meets on the
second Sunday of each month following the 11:00 a.m. worship
